After living and working in communities throughout the world, Hudson settled in New Orleans more than three decades ago, finding in the city’s extraordinary cultural heritage, architecture, and creative tradition a lasting source of inspiration. Hudson’s work is deeply influenced by his beloved rescue animals—Simone, Jinxie, and Warhol—whose personalities, expressions, and individual quirks provide an enduring source of inspiration. Each Delta Dog is meticulously hand-sculpted in clay, fired, and signed by the artist. No two are exactly alike. For more than 30 years, Hudson has also created commissioned pet portrait sculptures for private collectors.
